Complete Check-Ups & Cleanings

Timely check-ups are your first line of defense against dental plaque, tartar, oral cancer, hidden root damage and every other problem under the sun. If you want to have a healthy set of teeth for the rest of your life, it’s crucial you come in and get one every 6 months (if possible).

The reason is, many problems are difficult to identify on time, even if you’re a dentist yourself. This can lead to complications that cost a fortune to treat and affect your health permanently. If you want to get off easy – financially and health-wise – the smart thing to do is get check-ups regularly.

The same goes for cleanings. It’s virtually impossible to clean your own teeth properly – even if you’re a stellar hygienist in your everyday job. If you want to keep plaque, tartar and other problems at bay, regular cleanings are your #1 priority. (And no, eating an apple a day will not stop tooth decay.)

What Happens During a Check-Up?

Essentially, a check-up is exactly what it sounds like: a short session in which your doctor takes a look at your teeth and gums to make sure everything is fine. This involves using dental equipment to see what’s happening inside your mouth, shining a light onto your teeth and – sometimes – probing under your gums gently with a special tool.

One thing that often worries folks is the fact that a check-up involves getting X-Rayed. Nobody likes being bombarded with radiation – even if it’s only for a few seconds. Fortunately, our clinic uses digital X-Rays, so you can rest easy knowing you’ve been exposed to zero unnecessary radiation. We want you to rest safe at our office – especially if your child is one of our patients!

Oral Cancer Screenings

Over 50,000 Americans die to oral cancer each year. That’s the bad news. The positive news is that the disease is straightforward to diagnose and treat, especially if you screen yourself for it regularly.

To help you do just that, we offer oral cancer screenings with your dental check-ups so you can kill two birds with one stone and ensure your health on two fronts at the same time.

Our doctors are equipped using the latest in dental check-up technology: namely, the DIAGNOdent pen. When it comes to this tool, the pen really is mightier than the sword, because it makes it extremely easy to detect tooth decay (caries).

With your timely check-ups and our next-gen medical equipment, we can work together to detect and rectify tooth decay before it happens, saving you time, money and visits to the doctor!
